Unilock, a leading manufacturer of concrete paving stones and retaining walls in North America, is seeking a dedicated and safety-conscious Production Worker (Utility) for its Marengo, IL facility. As a Production Worker (Utility), you will play a crucial role in maintaining the efficiency and safety of the production process. Your primary responsibilities will include performing various duties as assigned by the Shift Supervisor, Senior Supervisor, or Plant Manager. This includes ensuring the cleanliness and tidiness of your work area, participating in plant clean-up at the end of your shift, and being flexible to take on other duties as needed. Safety is paramount in this role, and you will be expected to perform all tasks in a safe manner, adhering to company safety protocols. To succeed in this position, you must possess the skills and knowledge of a General Laborer, Quality Control, Strapper, and Forklift Operator. The role requires physical stamina, as you will be standing, stooping, reaching, and lifting up to 50 lbs. You will also need to perform repetitive motions with your hands and arms above and below shoulder level. The ability to read and write in English is essential, as is the capability to relieve or substitute for other plant positions during breaks, lunches, and vacations. This position is not only about performing tasks but also about contributing to a team-oriented environment where safety and quality are prioritized.

Responsibilities

• Perform the duties of Utility Person in a safe manner
• Execute tasks as assigned by the Shift Supervisor, Senior Supervisor, or Plant Manager
• Maintain general cleanliness and tidiness of the work area(s)
• Participate in the plant clean-up at the end of shifts
• Fulfill other duties as assigned by supervisory staff

Requirements

• Ability to pass testing for and possess skills of General Laborer, Quality Control, Strapper, and Forklift Operator
• Physical ability to stand, stoop, reach, and lift up to 50 lbs
• Capability to perform repetitive motions with hands and arms above and below shoulder level
• Ability to read and write in the English language
• Flexibility to relieve or substitute for other plant positions during breaks, lunches, and vacations

Nice-to-haves

• Background in a manufacturing environment (1-2 years preferred)
• High School diploma or better
