About the position
The Agriculture Instructor at Maquoketa Middle School is responsible for delivering high-quality agricultural education to middle school students. This role involves collaborating with staff and students to enhance the Agriculture Education/FFA program, ensuring that the unique needs of middle school students are met while promoting a strong learning environment.
Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with students and staff to meet building and districtwide initiatives.
- Deliver engaging agricultural education lessons to middle school students.
- Enhance the Agriculture Education/FFA program through innovative teaching methods.
- Support students in developing skills in agriculture, woodworking, welding, and building trades.
Requirements
- Meet Department of Education Certification/Licensure Requirements.
- Ability to work cooperatively with staff, students, and parents.
- Proficient in Agriculture and related fields.
- Proficient in woodworking, welding, and building trades.
- An understanding of the unique needs and characteristics of middle school students.
