The role involves teaching Spanish and includes responsibilities for five class presentations and one supervisory period each day. Teachers who are not assigned a sixth class or supervisory period are expected to be available for substitution as needed. The position requires the teacher to be present in the building from 7:45 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. on regular school days, with additional time required on days with special schedules. The teacher will prepare course outlines, materials, and assignments, and distribute this information to students and the Department Chairperson. They are also responsible for creating emergency lesson plans and maintaining accurate attendance records. The teacher will assist in student supervision, notify administration when leaving the building, and provide adequate supervision during various school activities. In addition to teaching responsibilities, the teacher will safeguard the security of the school by properly maintaining assigned keys and reporting any injuries or damages to school property.
