The Marine Diesel Technician position involves the installation and repair of marine diesel engines in a locally owned repair shop. The technician will be responsible for engine installations and repowers, ensuring high-quality service and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Install and repair marine diesel engines.
- Perform electrical troubleshooting and repairs.
- Utilize computer diagnostic tools for engine analysis.
- Engage in welding and fabrication as needed.
- Maintain a professional appearance and attitude while on the job.
Requirements
- Experience in marine diesel engine repair and installation.
- Welding and fabrication skills.
- Strong work ethic and self-directed attitude.
- Ability to work 40 plus hours a week in a physically demanding environment.
- Good driving record.
- Electrical troubleshooting and repair skills.
- Computer diagnostic experience or ability.
