About the position
The Marine Sales Technician role at Tecnografic involves supporting the Sales and Design team in the marine industry by managing customer sales requests, designing parts using AutoCAD, and ensuring effective communication with clients. This position is ideal for individuals with a strong connection to the boating lifestyle and experience in boating, repairing, and installing equipment on boats.
Responsibilities
- Read and create AutoCAD 2D drawings, with training provided for those with some knowledge and experience.
- Maintain appropriate responsive communication with new and existing customers via email and phone.
- Assist in the development of technical drawings, reproductions, and template builds for approval.
- Generate product specifications and construction details using internal software (JOBBOSS), with training provided.
Requirements
- Associate degree preferred.
- Experience or strong interest in the marine industry is highly encouraged.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD 2D is required.
- Knowledge and use of small hand tools, such as sander, buffer, drill, saw, etc.
- Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and interpersonal).
- Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Word.
- Strong sense of urgency, organizational skills, and detail-orientation.
