About the position

Core Group Resources is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Structural Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will lead and oversee the design, analysis, and execution of marine structural engineering projects. You will work on a variety of projects including coastal defenses, marine infrastructure, and offshore structures, ensuring they meet safety, performance, and regulatory standards. Your expertise will be crucial in delivering high-quality engineering solutions that adhere to industry standards and best practices. As a Senior Structural Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the design and analysis of marine structural systems, which include breakwaters, piers, wharves, docks, and offshore platforms. You will perform complex structural analysis and design calculations using industry-standard software and methodologies. Additionally, you will oversee the preparation and review of technical reports, design documents, and construction drawings, ensuring that all outputs meet the required specifications and quality standards. Collaboration is key in this role, as you will coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget. You will also conduct site assessments and inspections to evaluate structural performance and identify potential issues, ensuring compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations, including local and international guidelines. Furthermore, you will have the opportunity to mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and technical staff, contributing to their professional development and the overall success of the team. Your input will also be valuable in the development of project proposals, including scope, cost estimates, and technical solutions.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Naval Architecture & Marine Engineering from an accredited college or university
  • 10+ years of relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in structural analysis and design software is a plus (e.g., STAAD.Pro, SAP2000, Tekla, AutoCAD).
