About the position

The Marine Surveyor position at Amphitrite Resource Group, LLC involves conducting marine surveys and audits, ensuring effective communication with clients, and producing detailed reports. The role requires adherence to company procedures and safety protocols while promoting company services in the marine industry. The Marine Surveyor will also assist in training junior personnel and managing customer relations.

Responsibilities

• Performing marine surveys and/or audits in the field as directed by the Area Manager or Vice President.
• Ensuring the timely flow of information to/from clients throughout the survey and/or audit process.
• Producing and submitting concise, technically and grammatically correct survey and/or audit reports.
• Assisting the Area Manager with handling customer complaints and adjusting invoices.
• Recognizing potential new business opportunities and bringing them to management's attention.
• Promoting company services in the marine industry, including client visits and participation in industry activities.
• Following the company's Health, Safety, Security & Environmental Manual requirements.
• Pursuing personal development through training and professional organizations.
• Assisting with the management and training of junior personnel.
• Ensuring proper PPE is maintained and worn at all times.
• Ensuring all required equipment is calibrated and in good working order.
• Obtaining proper credentials to enter terminals, docks, and jobsites.

Requirements

• College graduate, maritime college preferred or equivalent time in the marine industry.
• Five years sea-going experience in a certificated position or five years of experience in marine surveying or comparable marine experience.
• Membership in NAMSGlobal or equivalent professional association preferred.
• Report and technical writing skills.
• Current valid Transportation Worker's Identification Credential (TWIC).
