Responsibilities

  • Assist in the Underwriting process for current Marine book of business
  • Review applications and evaluate risks
  • Research and understand carrier guidelines and delegated authority
  • Refer items exceeding authority level
  • Communicate with local agent partners, brokers, and underwriters where necessary
  • Process and service new and renewal business for US based yachts
  • Train or assist in the training of others, as necessary

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Risk Management & Insurance or related field
  • Experience with boats and yachts
  • Working knowledge of property and casualty insurance
  • Strong customer orientation and excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong problem analysis and resolution skills
  • Ability to prioritize and respond to complex issues
  • Detail-oriented and able to multi-task
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and able to navigate various websites and databases
