The Market Attendant / Expediter at Post Ranch Inn plays a crucial role in delivering a world-class guest experience by facilitating communication between the culinary team and guests. This part-time position involves carrying food from the kitchen to the dining area, ensuring timely service, and maintaining a well-organized workstation. The role requires a passion for hospitality and a commitment to excellence in service.

Responsibilities

  • Carry food from the kitchen into the dining room to be served to the guest.
  • Communicate directly with the culinary team regarding the guests' dining experience.
  • Advise the culinary team when to begin preparing a guest's next course.
  • Communicate any potential guest issues directly with the culinary and serving teams.
  • Set up and break down the workstation at the beginning and end of each shift.
  • Know each dish and be able to explain it, along with the ingredients, to the guest.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience in a similar boutique hotel preferred.
  • Valid Food Handling certification required.
  • Ability to use repetitive hand and body motions regularly.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods on varying ground levels.
  • Ability to lift 20 pounds or more consistently and perform manual tasks.
