About the position

The Market Data Analyst role at ManpowerGroup is designed to support the data and analytical needs of various departments including Product Management, Innovation, Sales, and Marketing. The analyst will gather, organize, and analyze critical market information to generate actionable insights that drive business decisions and strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct research on market trends to evaluate product sales potential.
  • Identify data sources from market research reports, public filings, trade magazines, competitor reports, consumer trends, and internal sales data.
  • Research vendors and media sources to gather relevant market data.
  • Develop relationships with research vendors to ensure access to up-to-date insights and methodologies.
  • Verify and triangulate data using both internal and external sources.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and new research methods to enhance insight-gathering capabilities.
  • Conduct competitive analyses to identify key factors influencing market demand and sales opportunities.
  • Use insights to build market size estimates, growth rate projections, and market share assessments.
  • Support product development through market opportunity assessments and business case reports.
  • Analyze competitor strengths and weaknesses (SWOT) and provide insights on market segmentation.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to map customer and competitor production facilities, identifying capacities, locations, and products.
  • Partner with marketing to mine insights from available reports and news sources.
  • Prepare visual reports and presentations that effectively communicate market findings.
  • Maintain a database of historical market data for the region.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Business, Finance, Psychology, Market Research, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 3-5+ years of experience in business research or data analysis, including familiarity with market tracking tools such as Nielsen, Circana, or other syndicated research tools.

Benefits

  • Compensation range of $90,000 - $110,000 plus incentives and benefits.
  • Hybrid work environment.
