About the position

The Market Development Manager is responsible for driving sales performance within the assigned territory by collaborating with independent direct store delivery distributors. This role focuses on advancing good2grow's market presence, particularly in local and independent channels, while utilizing existing experience in the food and beverage sales sectors. The position requires a proactive approach to business development and effective communication with key stakeholders to achieve sales objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Lead distributors in the assigned region to drive annual business performance objectives.
  • Participate in distributor training, sales meetings, and ride-alongs.
  • Provide clear follow-up notes after store visits and ride-alongs.
  • Use the VIP Karma app to track and execute store visits.
  • Communicate with key influencers within distributor organizations regarding promotional execution and distribution opportunities.
  • Develop larger chains and penetrate new accounts using targeted void reports.
  • Increase good2grow store presence through effective merchandising strategies.
  • Grow the number of good2grow SKUs available in the market.
  • Complete all administrative duties in a timely manner on designated office days.
  • Create weekly recaps and communicate with the immediate manager.
  • Participate in monthly MDM calls and present as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5 years of sales experience in the consumer packaged goods industry, merchandising, or supplier sales.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment and travel 80% of the time regionally by car.
