About the position

The Market Development Specialist is responsible for connecting people and communities by offering top-tier telecommunication services. This role involves door-to-door solicitation of new customers and building relationships within the assigned territory. The specialist will engage in proactive sales strategies, conduct needs analyses, and present tailored sales proposals to meet customer needs, all while achieving monthly sales quotas.

Responsibilities

  • Actively supports efforts to enhance the customer experience.
  • Develops relationships with homebuilder representatives, homeowner associations, and community groups.
  • Acquires new residential customers through door-to-door contact.
  • Conducts needs analysis with prospective customers.
  • Develops and presents sales presentations on products and services.
  • Completes necessary paperwork to support sales activities accurately.
  • Participates in sales meetings and training programs.
  • Achieves monthly sales quotas in various telecommunication services.
  • Completes administrative tasks related to products sold.
  • Informs manager of competitive pricing and marketing changes.
  • Attends and completes training programs.

Requirements

  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Engaging interpersonal skills and ability to listen.
  • Ability to formulate needs-based sales strategies.
  • Strong personal drive to sell to prospective customers.
  • Ability to travel to assigned territories using a reliable vehicle.
  • Familiarity with computer systems and communication devices.
  • Must work evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent work experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Success in a previous sales position or direct sales experience.
  • Knowledge of cable or telecommunications services.
  • 2+ years of sales or relevant work experience.
