About the position

The Market Director of QA, Risk Management, & Compliance at Carrollton Springs is a pivotal role responsible for overseeing the quality assurance, risk management, and compliance activities across multiple facilities within the market. Carrollton Springs is a 78-bed behavioral hospital dedicated to providing comprehensive care for individuals facing mental health issues and chemical dependency. The hospital offers a full continuum of care, including inpatient treatment, partial day programming, and intensive outpatient services, all aimed at changing people's lives positively. In this role, the Market Director will develop and administer performance improvement initiatives, risk management strategies, and staff development programs to ensure compliance with state, federal, and The Joint Commission (TJC) standards. The director will collect and analyze data related to hospital performance, incidents, and documentation to enhance the quality of care provided. Collaboration with department directors is essential to recommend and implement tailored staff development programs based on data analysis. The director will also monitor and investigate hospital incidents, ensuring that all necessary reports are filed and corrective actions are taken when required. The position requires a deep understanding of regulatory standards and the ability to advise and inform hospital departments on compliance matters. The Market Director will lead efforts to identify risk and safety concerns within the hospital environment and will utilize the Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) method to develop and implement improvement plans. This role is crucial in ensuring that the hospital consistently meets all regulatory standards and laws, thereby maintaining a high standard of care for patients.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor the hospitals quality program.
  • Demonstrate extensive knowledge of all regulatory standards including TJC, Medicaid, state, and federal laws.
  • Advise and inform departments on regulatory standards.
  • Work with hospital employees to identify risk/safety concerns and lead the team to take corrective action as needed.
  • Collect and analyze data on hospital performance.
  • Collect incident reports; record, analyze, investigate data and report to Quality Council and CEO.
  • Utilize the PDCA method to develop improvement plans for the hospital.
  • Ensure hospital meets all regulatory standards and laws.
  • Supervise direct reports across assigned market facilities.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in a health-related field preferred, or Bachelor's degree in a health-related field with equivalent experience in a psychiatric hospital.
  • Previous experience in a psychiatric health care facility, with direct experience working with chemical dependency, dual diagnosis, psychiatric, and geriatric patients preferred.
  • Unencumbered license to practice by the State Board of Nursing, if applicable.
  • CPR certification and Crisis Prevention Training (CPI) within 30 days.
