About the position

The Market Growth Director (Market GD) is responsible for developing and executing market strategies in the Transportation, Water, or Cities & Places sectors. This role involves close collaboration with the Executive Director of Sales (EDS) and other key stakeholders to align on strategic goals, establish sales budgets, and drive accountability across teams. The Market GD will enhance client satisfaction, elevate Jacobs' brand, and ensure the successful execution of market strategies while fostering a culture of belonging aligned with Jacobs' core values.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute market strategies in collaboration with the Executive Director of Sales (EDS).
  • Establish sales budgets and goals for the market and Client Account Managers (CAMs).
  • Drive accountability across market-aligned CAMs to achieve established goals.
  • Lead teams to enhance client satisfaction through strong delivery and recruitment of key talent.
  • Implement strategies to elevate Jacobs' brand through community engagement and professional participation.
  • Collaborate with other Market Growth Directors to ensure alignment and sharing of best practices across geographies.
  • Act as a Client Account Manager (CAM) on critical accounts to develop relationships and opportunity pipelines.
  • Demonstrate leadership in health, safety, and wellbeing initiatives.

Requirements

  • Technical degree and/or requisite experience in the aligned market.
  • Strong people leadership skills aligned with Jacobs' core values.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales goals through strategy execution and client relationships.
  • Experience in successful budget management and strategy execution within a specific market portfolio.
  • Ability to apply Jacobs' Relationship Based Sales (RBS) process effectively.
  • Experience in utilizing the Client Success Platform (CSP) and maintaining strong data hygiene practices.
  • Ability to form impactful strategic partnerships and counter competitor strategies.
  • Experience in leading teams within a healthy culture driven by accountability.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in coaching and mentoring sales staff.
  • Familiarity with the Client Expectation and Client Satisfaction Survey processes.
  • Proficiency in leading processes that comply with the Relationships Sales Process (RBS).
