About the position

The Market Intelligence & Strategy Manager at Taylor Morrison is responsible for collecting and analyzing data from various sources to support strategic recommendations regarding existing communities and future land opportunities. This role emphasizes understanding consumer preferences and translating that data into actionable insights for community design, product development, and marketing communications.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and provide recommendations on existing community positioning.
  • Complete and assess resale data monthly.
  • Conduct regular fieldwork, including competitive shopping to gather market intelligence.
  • Troubleshoot problematic communities and identify drivers of success.
  • Conduct primary research, including focus groups and surveys.
  • Complete and assess Competitive Market Assessments (CMA) for each community monthly.
  • Conduct monthly positioning reviews with the Division President and Operations team.
  • Evaluate and recommend future community positioning based on fieldwork and competitive evaluations.
  • Communicate recommendations on price, product, and promotion to the Division President and Operations team.
  • Analyze resale data and discuss findings with the Division President and Operations team.
  • Prepare Portfolio Investment Committee (PIC) submittal reports.
  • Identify consumer group wants and needs through focus groups and surveys.
  • Assist with new product development by providing consumer feedback.
  • Coordinate with Division President and Operations team on strategic initiatives.
  • Analyze macro and micro-level market data to assess growth opportunities.
  • Communicate key findings to local division management teams.
  • Assist Division Presidents with the Final Strategic Plan Presentation.
  • Support the completion of the Corporate Workbook.

Requirements

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in Business, Real Estate, or a quantitative field required.
  • 4+ years of experience in site selection, competitive assessments, and/or market evaluations in homebuilding or a similar industry.
  • Experience in data gathering from various sources and compiling into logical charts, graphs, tables, and written form.
  • Highly proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Very strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Local market knowledge preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with housing database tools is a plus, but not required.
