About the position

The Market Leader (Manager) Trainee at 7-Eleven, Inc. is a pivotal role designed for individuals looking to lead and manage a group of Area Leaders overseeing approximately 100 to 150 stores. This position focuses on maximizing sales and gross profit while providing guidance and support to Area Leaders and Store Operators. The role includes a comprehensive 12-month training program aimed at developing future leaders within the company, with opportunities for career advancement in various directions.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a group of 8-10 Area Leaders.
• Assist and counsel Area Leaders and Store Operators in daily operations.
• Maximize sales and gross profit across assigned stores.
• Participate in a comprehensive training program lasting 12 months.
• Manage staffing, training, and development of Area Leaders.
• Ensure effective multi-unit management for both company and franchise operations.

Requirements

• 5-10 years of related management experience including P&L responsibility.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; MBA preferred.
• Strong experience in retail merchandising, preferably in the C-Store and foodservice industries.
• Experience with multi-unit management for small box (100-150 stores) or big box (15-50 stores).
• Ability to travel within the assigned region, with overnight travel approximately 25% of the time.
• Willingness to relocate as needed for the role.
