About the position

The Market Manager for Off-Premise/Chains at Brown-Forman in Missouri is responsible for leading and innovating in the off-premise market. This role focuses on driving brand success through strategic initiatives, impactful relationships, and flawless execution across various account groups, including local and national chains, independents, and convenience stores.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact with key off-premise account groups, covering the entire Brown-Forman portfolio of brands.
  • Design, develop, and implement key customer initiatives for Missouri's off-premise business that boost profitability.
  • Establish and nurture positive customer rapport at all levels across assigned territory.
  • Conduct business performance reviews with distributor leadership to achieve state plans.
  • Partner with National Account Teams and Regional Distributor Account Team to ensure flawless execution of programs.
  • Work with the e-premise team to communicate cutting-edge programs and execution plans to distributors and customers.
  • Develop and execute off-premise brand-building plans in collaboration with distributors.
  • Lead the off-premise effort at the point of purchase, ensuring superior distributor execution of brand initiatives.
  • Engage with and influence key external contacts, including distributor partners, retailers, consumers, and agencies.
  • Lead off-premise teams to gather local market feedback for specific brand plans, setting clear objectives and priorities.
  • Coordinate communication of plan adjustments based on market performance and success.
  • Manage budget responsibilities to drive financial success.
  • Develop and ensure the proper activation of all off-premise programs.
  • Oversee the execution of Off-Premise pull programming and all branded initiatives.
  • Execute the Brown-Forman business plan with the off-premise team, holding them accountable for results.
  • Oversee third-party promotion agencies for off-premise, ensuring alignment with business and brand plans.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years in the beverage alcohol and/or beverage industry with a proven track record of meeting key metrics.
  • Strong coaching and sales training skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Ability to prioritize the overall Brown-Forman business needs above specific territory or team needs.
  • Ability to travel and work nights and weekends as required, with a valid state driver's license.
  • Capability to lift 60 pounds.
  • Proficiency in Google Suite, Microsoft Office, and/or other business operations software.
