About the position

The Market Manager for Wholesale Fuels at 7-Eleven is responsible for developing and executing the sales and growth strategy for the SEIFS Wholesale division. This role involves managing a team of sales professionals, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and maintaining strong relationships with customers. The position requires frequent travel within the New England area and focuses on achieving sales goals and gross profit objectives while providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the SEIFS Wholesale sales and growth strategy.
  • Identify acquisition candidates for the Wholesale business.
  • Support Wholesale customers to achieve annual gallons and gross profit targets.
  • Supervise a market area of 10+ Wholesale Dealer Business Consultants, Dealer Business Specialists, and Commission Sales Agents.
  • Grow the Wholesale business through acquisition and retention of accounts.
  • Implement and manage value-added programs for customers.
  • Ensure compliance with Federal, State, Environmental, and Regulatory requirements.
  • Manage branded and unbranded business relationships and contractual obligations.
  • Review and approve financials related to new and retention deals.
  • Establish and maintain productive working relationships with various departments.
  • Review and manage market plans including budgets and staffing plans.
  • Ensure timely and accurate billing from Fuels Accounting.
  • Resolve legal issues in collaboration with the Corporate Legal department.
  • Manage, coach, and train Wholesale personnel under supervision.
  • Conduct annual performance appraisals for direct reports.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • 10+ years of experience in Wholesale gasoline marketing.
  • 10+ years of personnel management experience.
  • Logistics experience.
  • Retail operations experience.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Financial analysis skills.
  • Facilitation skills.
  • Project management skills.
  • Negotiation skills.
  • Knowledge of the Petroleum Marketing Protection Act (PMPA).
