About the position

The Retail Sales Associate at Market Market in Palm Springs is responsible for providing exceptional customer service in a vibrant retail environment that supports over 200 small businesses. This role involves engaging with customers, assisting with their shopping experience, and maintaining the store's visual standards. The associate will work closely with artisans and makers, representing their brands and contributing to a positive team atmosphere.

Responsibilities

• Greets and initiates conversation with customers, sharing product recommendations and information about the store and its makers.
• Assists customers with fitting rooms and jewelry cases, provides shopping baskets, and utilizes POS systems to complete transactions.
• Builds productive relationships with peers; asks for support when needed and makes an effort to help others.
• Participates in the learning and sharing of product knowledge, taking time to connect with our brands and makers.
• Contributes to a positive team morale participating in store initiatives such as monthly sales goals.
• Provides insights related to the customer and employee experience and communicates feedback to Store Managers.
• Supports store and brands by restocking as needed and as directed by Management.
• Maintains a tidy and organized store, stockroom, and break area.
• Supports in floor fixture moves as directed by Store Managers and Visual Team.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience related to retail (apparel or furniture).
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Highly adaptable with an ability to multitask.
• Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and grow.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and bank holidays (Required).
• Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds.
