About the position

KLA is a global leader in diversified electronics for the semiconductor manufacturing ecosystem, and we are seeking a Market Research Analyst to join our finance team. This position is critical in providing KLA executives and product groups with essential data and analysis that will aid in making informed business decisions. The role involves developing and implementing databases and data collection systems, identifying key performance indicators, and gathering information from both primary and secondary sources. The analyst will be responsible for sorting and sanitizing data to ensure accuracy and quality before analysis, as well as identifying trends and patterns in large datasets using sophisticated analytical techniques. In addition to data analysis, the Market Research Analyst will create visual representations of data through infographics, charts, and PowerBI dashboards, enabling stakeholders to easily comprehend complex information. The role also includes generating and modifying reports that summarize findings and provide actionable insights for decision-making. The analyst will document data models, metrics, and infrastructure to ensure data integrity and facilitate collaboration across teams. This position requires a strong mathematical background, technical expertise in data modeling and database design, and proficiency in reporting packages and programming languages. Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement databases and data collection systems.
  • Identify critical metrics and set priorities for analysis.
  • Gather information from primary and secondary sources.
  • Sort and sanitize data to ensure accuracy and quality.
  • Identify trends and patterns in large datasets using analytical techniques.
  • Create visual representations of data using infographics and charts.
  • Generate and modify reports that summarize findings and provide insights.
  • Build and maintain PowerBI dashboards for real-time visualization of metrics.
  • Document data models, metrics, and supporting infrastructure.

Requirements

  • Doctorate (Academic) Degree and 0 years related work experience; Master's Level Degree and related work experience of 3 years; Bachelor's Level Degree and related work experience of 5 years.
  • Strong mathematical skills for data collection and analysis.
  • Technical expertise in data models, database design, and data mining techniques.
  • Experience with reporting packages (PowerBi), databases (SQL), and programming (Python, R, XML, JavaScript, or ETL frameworks).
  • Knowledge of statistics and experience with statistical packages (Excel, SPSS, SAS).
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • High level of intellectual curiosity about the semiconductor and electronics ecosystems.
  • Adept at queries, report writing, and presenting findings.
  • Problem-solving skills and strong verbal and written communication skills.
