About the position

The Market Research Analyst at Epitec is responsible for conducting comprehensive quantitative and qualitative research to analyze consumer behavior, competitors, and market trends. This role is crucial for developing actionable insights that inform marketing strategies and resource allocation, ultimately enhancing campaign effectiveness and driving sales.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-depth market research and regularly share insights with marketing and sales teams.
  • Analyze and interpret large data sets, organizing findings into spreadsheets, charts, and graphs.
  • Present data findings and insights during company-wide meetings to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Study consumer behaviors and attitudes, forecasting future sales trends based on research.
  • Consolidate data findings into comprehensive reports for stakeholders.
  • Stay informed on market trends, consumer preferences, and industry's best practices.

Requirements

  • 5-7 years of experience in market research or a similar role.
  • Bachelor's degree in Math, Engineering, Statistics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a market research analyst or in a similar role.
  • Knowledge of data warehousing and mining techniques.
  • Familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) software, such as Salesforce.
  • Demonstrated ability to predict market trends effectively.
  • Strong curiosity for exploring data and gaining market insights.
  • Passion for statistical research and analysis.

Nice-to-haves

  • Proficient in forecasting and market analysis.
  • Advanced skills in MS Excel, including Power Query.
  • Competent in MS PowerPoint for presentations.
  • Strong capabilities in statistical analysis and data integration.
  • Experience with forecasting tools such as R and SAS.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical thinking abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex data across industries.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of statistics and experience with statistical technologies, including Python, SQL, R, and SAS.
  • Advanced computer literacy, with proficiency in search engines and web analytics.
  • Ability to multitask while maintaining keen attention to detail.
