About the position

As a Market Research Analyst at iHeartRadio, you will play a crucial role in conducting comprehensive research on various aspects of audio programming and broadcast media. This remote position requires you to engage in both phone and online research, allowing you to gather valuable insights that will inform our clients' strategies. You will collaborate closely with business management to define research objectives and ensure that your work aligns with the company's monthly goals. Your responsibilities will include creating a daily action plan, setting achievable goals, and managing your tasks to completion. In this role, you will conduct detailed research tailored to the specific needs of the business, identifying trends and patterns that emerge from the data. You will be responsible for calling facilities to gather data and utilizing various professional online sources to extract pertinent information. Your analytical skills will be put to the test as you perform evaluative analysis of selected resources and current market data. Regular self-audits of your work will be essential to ensure accuracy and consistency in the data you present to the research group and management. The ideal candidate will possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with strong interpersonal abilities to build positive relationships across various roles. A passion for music, audio, entertainment, and pop culture is highly desirable, as is an interest in media research. You will need to demonstrate proficiency in typing and spelling, and knowledge of Spanish is considered a plus. Your creative problem-solving skills will be vital in navigating challenges and ensuring the successful completion of your projects.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with business management to determine research objectives
  • Work in accordance with monthly objectives and deliver weekly updates
  • Create a daily plan of action, set goals and manage them to completion
  • Conduct detailed research of broadcast media according to business needs
  • Formulate effective and efficient research processes
  • Identify trends and patterns
  • Call facilities to gather data
  • Utilize various professional sources online to find and extract pertinent information
  • Perform evaluative analysis of selected resources and current market data
  • Frequently self-audit work and check data for errors and inconsistencies
  • Present research findings to the research group and management

Requirements

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills; ability to build positive relationships with a variety of personalities and roles
  • Passion for music, audio, entertainment and pop culture
  • Ability to work independently
  • Interest in media research is highly desired
  • Proficiency in typing and spelling
  • Proficiency in Spanish is a plus
  • Strong creative problem-solving skills
