About the position

The Market Research Analyst at Houston Methodist is responsible for tracking brand imagery and marketplace performance, conducting analyses to address business questions, and managing information services operations for Corporate Marketing and the Contact Center. This role involves collaboration with various departments to obtain necessary data for comprehensive market analysis and reporting, as well as overseeing consumer and physician mailings.

Responsibilities

  • Track brand imagery and marketplace performance.
  • Conduct analysis to address ad hoc business questions and issues.
  • Manage information services operations for Corporate Marketing and the Contact Center.
  • Coordinate and fulfill requests for consumer and physician mailings.
  • Collaborate with hospital leadership, marketing, and finance to obtain data for analysis.
  • Produce and deliver robust analyses to clients.
  • Oversee systematic reporting schedule for market analysis.
  • Design and implement reporting and data extracts.
  • Research and monitor healthcare environment and competition.
  • Communicate and present market analysis findings to leadership.
  • Compile and interpret marketing and financial data for reporting.
  • Monitor integrity of information in databases.
  • Oversee consumer and physician mailings for cost efficiency.
  • Support development of marketing plans using data from information systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Market Research, Business Administration, Statistics, Information Technology or related field.
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Four years of market research or related analytical experience.
  • Excellent analytical and observation skills.
  • Proficient in Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SQL, and graphic packages.
  • Experience with statistical packages (SAS, SPSS or similar) preferred.
  • Experience with data visualization software (e.g., Tableau) preferred.
  • Knowledge of survey methodology and statistics preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • Healthcare experience preferred.
  • Good grasp of normalized database logic and terminology.
  • Ability to collaborate with internal and external team members.
