About the position

The Market Research Analyst at Johnson, Mirmiran, and Thompson Inc. is responsible for supporting federal, state, and local market leads through analytics and business process support. This role involves analyzing and interpreting data to ensure accuracy and relevance, conducting market research, and presenting findings to senior leadership to aid in decision-making. The analyst will work with various data sets to provide insights into clients, competition, and market opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Gather quantitative and qualitative market data at federal, state, and local levels.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities for growth.
  • Analyze data to track campaign performance and provide insights for improvement.
  • Manage processes to turn data into insights while synthesizing and communicating written and verbal analysis.
  • Make marketing recommendations based on the data collected.
  • Gather, track, and report competitive intelligence to support marketing and business development cycles.
  • Analyze data from internal and external sources to identify trends related to marketing metrics.
  • Provide ad hoc analytical support to drive actionable decision-making and support strategic planning.
  • Work with Practice Leaders to support Market Research by collecting and analyzing data.
  • Perform market research projects and produce reports and data visualizations for internal use.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (Business Administration, Information Science, Marketing, etc.)
  • 2-5 years of related experience.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage time and priorities efficiently.
  • Strong analytical and technical skills with the ability to make recommendations based on data insights.
  • Knowledge of and experience with sam.gov, Deltek GovWin, and similar data aggregators.
  • Strong computer skills utilizing the Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel and PowerBI.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze complex issues and interpret them in a concise, understandable format to multiple audiences.
  • Ability to work independently in a rapidly changing environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • AEC industry experience preferred.
