About the position

The Market Research Analyst position at J.B. Hunt is responsible for researching and qualifying potential customer leads for the Dedicated Contract Services (DCS) sales force. This role involves analyzing transportation requirements and supply chain needs of prospective customers to ensure alignment with the division's business model. The analyst will collaborate closely with the DCS sales team to identify areas of focus and customer needs, contributing to the overall success of the sales efforts.

Responsibilities

• Conduct lead prospecting and qualification activities using web-based tools and customer contact lists.
• Maintain customer information within the Market Research Center and manage internal processes in the CRM.
• Assist the Market Development Manager and Business Development Executive in identifying market area needs and setting appointments with prospective customers.
• Analyze the competitive landscape for the region and provide insights to support sales efforts.
• Support responses to RFPs and RFIs as needed.
• Develop sales collateral, marketing campaigns, and measure campaign effectiveness.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or 5+ years of experience in sales, marketing, or a similar field.
• Ability to quickly learn new software systems.
• Proficient time-management skills and self-motivated.
• Ability to multitask and possess basic deductive reasoning skills.
• Experience in collecting, collating, and analyzing market information.
• Ability to explore and develop potential areas of business growth.
• Knowledge of existing and planned markets and market-related initiatives.

Nice-to-haves
