About the position

The Market Research Manager plays a crucial role in the Data & Analytics Office, providing insights and guidance to the Commercial and New Product Teams. This position focuses on understanding consumer behavior through primary and secondary marketing research, supporting product innovation, performance assessment, and strategic positioning. The role requires collaboration with external agencies and internal teams to design and execute research projects that align with business goals, ensuring actionable recommendations are derived from comprehensive data analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Design, plan, and manage marketing research projects.
  • Define appropriate methodology and overall research plan consistent with business goals.
  • Partner with external agencies and platforms for survey creation, data collection, and data analysis.
  • Review all research materials to ensure validity of research.
  • Provide input to marketing and agencies in the development of materials for testing.
  • Provide actionable recommendations grounded in insights from marketing research and syndicated data.
  • Assist in brand planning and strategy through a solid understanding of the consumer.
  • Work with support functions to address business questions with relevant information.
  • Manage projects within budgets, schedules, and regulatory requirements.
  • Apprise the organization of evolving consumer demographics and trends.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business management, Psychology, Finance, or related quantitative disciplines.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant business experience in marketing research, preferably in consumer packaged goods.
  • Substantial experience in turning business objectives into customized marketing research plans.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research methodologies.
  • Experience with DIY market research software or platforms.
  • Ability to integrate diverse sources of information for strategic recommendations.
