About the position

The Market Sales Manager is responsible for generating profitable new account revenue by leading a team of Senior Account Executives and Construction Account Managers. This role involves developing and executing the Market Area's Sales and Marketing Plan to achieve revenue goals, while also ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and effective team management. The position requires regular travel throughout Northern Indiana and most of Michigan, excluding the Detroit area.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains and reinforces the corporate sales strategy and design with the Sales Team.
  • Establishes and maintains a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Demonstrates outstanding management and customer service skills to motivate sales team members.
  • Maintains an ongoing training, coaching and mentoring program for the Sales Team.
  • Supervises activities of the Sales Team to ensure sales call activity and revenue goals are met.
  • Manages and ensures the use of WM sales tools by the Sales Team.
  • Provides expert industry knowledge to the Sales Team and customers.
  • Assists in communication and maintenance of pricing and service strategies.
  • Interviews and selects qualified candidates for new openings on the team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or High School Diploma/GED with 4 years of relevant work experience.
  • 3 years of experience in direct business-to-business sales and cold calling.
  • Proven success in a higher level sales or management role within the company.
