About the position

The Social Media / Accounts Manager at Detroit Design House is responsible for developing and implementing social media strategies for various brands within the agency. This role requires creativity and strategic thinking to effectively engage audiences across multiple platforms, particularly focusing on local restaurant, nightlife, and retail businesses. The ideal candidate will work closely with a creative team to devise marketing campaigns and communicate with clients, contributing to the agency's growth in the digital space.

Responsibilities

• Schedule posts for multiple clients' accounts daily to Instagram & Facebook
• Develop and expand clients' online communities
• Publish and manage all creative content on clients' social media platforms
• Communicate with clients monthly to set up new marketing initiatives
• Participate in clients' asset planning to capture unique content needs
• Implement a consistent brand look and feel across clients' marketing channels
• Collaborate with the in-house creative team to plan and coordinate post content
• Oversee flow between graphic designs and clients on graphic design projects
• Monitor and respond to comments and messages on social media.

Requirements

• Proficiency in content creation with a strong portfolio showcasing previous work
• 1+ year of experience within a Social Media Manager or similar role, preferred
• Basic knowledge of local hospitality industry and culture
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Good eye for artistic composition and visually pleasing layouts
• High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects
• Highly developed organizational skills including the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, Instagram, Facebook.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in Copywriting
• Knowledge of Photoshop, Asana, Adobe, Canva, Constant Contact
• Being a Foodie is a plus
