About the position

The Marketing Analyst at Daniel Defense is responsible for conducting market research and analysis to support the Product Strategy Manager in identifying trends, consumer preferences, and competitive landscapes. This role involves aggregating data, developing dashboards, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and utilizing statistical techniques to forecast market trends and customer behavior. The analyst will also monitor customer feedback and assist in developing marketing strategies, while ensuring alignment with the company's commitment to safety and quality.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, consumer preferences, and competitive landscapes.
  • Aggregate internal and external data sources into a single source of truth.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and data visualizations to track market performance and deliver to key stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Sales, Marketing, and Digital Analytics to gather data requirements and ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Utilize statistical techniques and predictive modeling to aid in the forecast of market trends, customer behavior, and campaign outcomes.
  • Assist in the development of marketing strategies and product positioning.
  • Monitor and analyze customer feedback, reviews, and sentiment to gauge brand awareness & perception.
  • Support the Product Strategy Manager in preparing presentations, reports, and business cases for senior management and executive stakeholders.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices, market dynamics, and technological advancements to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Demonstrate commitment to and leadership of environmental health and safety principles, policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Statistics, Economics, or related field.
  • 2-4 years of experience in marketing analytics, market research, or related roles.
  • Proficiency with dashboarding and data analysis tools such as Powerbi, Excel, SQL, Python, R, Tableau, or equivalent.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and drive towards actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in data analysis and reporting.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with digital marketing platforms, web analytics tools, and CRM systems.
  • Experience within the firearms industry.
