About the position

Gencor Industries, Inc., a leading manufacturer of road building machinery, is seeking a Marketing and Advertising Specialist to join our team. This full-time position is based in Orlando, FL, and focuses on advertising and promotions across various platforms, including print, electronic, video, and tradeshows. The successful candidate will be responsible for the production and media planning of brand/image and product advertising, ensuring that our marketing efforts effectively showcase our products and expertise to potential customers. In this role, you will work closely with management to develop and prioritize a calendar of trade shows, seminars, and other events that highlight our offerings. You will establish creative strategies and implement plans to maximize visibility at these events in a cost-effective manner. Additionally, you will contribute to and create brand and identity campaigns, support the implementation of advertising campaigns, and identify opportunities to enhance the company's brand visibility. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of experience with advertising campaigns and major trade shows or sponsored events, particularly within a manufacturing context. Knowledge of media planning and media buying is highly desirable, as is the ability to develop highly creative concepts and campaigns that build brand or product awareness. Relevant graphic design experience or an educational degree in a related field is also a plus. Exceptional project management skills and excellent writing and editing abilities are essential for success in this position.

Responsibilities

  • Work with management to develop and prioritize a calendar of trade shows, seminars, or other events that showcase products and expertise.
  • Establish creative strategies and implement plans to maximize visibility at these events in a cost-effective way.
  • Contribute to and create brand and identity campaigns and policies.
  • Support implementation of advertising campaigns and identify advertising and event opportunities to raise company brand visibility.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years experience with advertising programs.
  • Minimum 2 years experience with major trade shows or sponsored events.
  • Experience with media planning and media buying for print, broadcast, and web channels.
  • Demonstrated experience developing highly creative concepts and campaigns to build brand or product awareness.
  • Exceptional project management skills, including the ability to effectively define and execute creative projects.
  • Excellent writing and editing skills, including the ability to write, edit, and proofread draft copy for accuracy, consistency, and appropriateness of format and style.
  • Working proficiency in MS Office Suite, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe InDesign.

Nice-to-haves
