About the position

The Marketing and Brand Identity Specialist at St. Michael's Catholic Preparatory School is responsible for shaping and communicating the school's image through strategic marketing, brand management, and graphic design. This role involves executing comprehensive marketing campaigns, maintaining a consistent brand identity across all platforms, and producing high-quality graphic design materials. The Specialist collaborates with various departments to promote the school's mission through creative content and visual design.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Director of Community Engagement to develop and implement marketing and advertising strategies to raise awareness and drive admissions.
  • Ensure consistent brand identity across all communications, print, and digital materials.
  • Oversee the creation and distribution of marketing materials such as brochures, event invitations, digital ads, and promotional items.
  • Maintain relationships with vendors and design partners to produce high-quality collateral aligned with brand guidelines.
  • Design and produce a wide range of graphic materials, including school logos, event programs, and branded assets for both print and digital platforms.
  • Create digital assets for social media, the website, newsletters, and other digital platforms to maintain a cohesive visual identity.
  • Develop branded materials for school events, including signage and banners, ensuring all visual elements align with the school's image.
  • Collaborate with various teams to design custom materials supporting fundraising campaigns, open houses, and community events.
  • Gather content and photos that align with marketing goals and showcase the school's culture.
  • Produce multimedia content, including video editing and photography, to tell the story of St. Michael's Prep across digital and print platforms.
  • Design and oversee production schedules for print materials, ensuring all communications are timely, consistent, and on brand.
  • Act as the steward of St. Michael's Prep's brand identity, providing guidance on logo usage, color palettes, fonts, and design aesthetics.
  • Review all materials created by in-house teams and external vendors to ensure brand consistency.
  • Conduct regular audits of brand materials to ensure alignment across all communications.
  • Collaborate across departments to ensure marketing, branding, and design efforts align with school goals.
  • Provide design direction for various school departments, maintaining a cohesive and professional look.
  • Manage timelines, budgets, and relationships with external vendors and media outlets.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in marketing, graphic design, or branding, preferably in an educational or nonprofit setting.
  • Proficient in graphic design software (Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
  • Strong understanding of branding, marketing strategy, and visual storytelling.
  • Ability to design for both print and digital platforms.
  • Experience with digital marketing and social media management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
