About the position

The Marketing and Communications Coordinator for the Department of Aerospace & Mechanical Engineering at the University of Arizona will be responsible for developing and coordinating various marketing and communications initiatives. This role involves curating website content, creating social media content, and developing materials and campaigns aimed at student recruitment and alumni outreach. The coordinator will work closely with faculty and staff to enhance brand awareness and engage with key audiences.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the department's content marketing plan to engage with core constituencies and primary audiences.
• Produce written, visual, and video content for the AME website, social media, and other marketing materials.
• Manage AME social media accounts and ensure published information is relevant and accurate.
• Coordinate all marketing activities including advertising, promotions, publications, and campaigns.
• Execute marketing campaigns and events to achieve set goals for AME.
• Develop and maintain communications processes and protocols for internal stakeholders.
• Advise faculty and staff on compliance with marketing and branding guidelines.
• Maintain records of all marketing and communications activities.
• Collect and analyze data on the effectiveness of marketing campaigns to inform strategy.
• Identify and manage consultants and freelancers for supplementary job functions.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field.
• Experience with social media platforms and advertising, including Facebook.
• Experience with graphic design software, e.g., Adobe Creative Cloud.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of email marketing platforms and social media management solutions.
• Skilled in professional communications writing, editing, and proofreading, including SEO and AP styles.
