About the position

The Marketing and Communications Coordinator at the Massachusetts Nonprofit Network (MNN) plays a vital role in enhancing the visibility and engagement of the organization within the nonprofit sector. This full-time position is responsible for leading and executing comprehensive marketing and communications strategies that effectively communicate MNN's mission and initiatives to key stakeholders, including members, prospective members, supporters, and the media. The coordinator will work closely with the Chief Executive Officer and other team members to ensure that MNN's messaging is consistent, impactful, and aligned with the organization's goals. In this role, the coordinator will spearhead MNN's digital marketing efforts, which include the production of monthly electronic newsletters, regular email communications to various audiences, and strategies to grow MNN's subscriber lists. The coordinator will also enhance MNN's web presence by developing website strategies that improve presentation, access, and navigation. This includes creating primary landing pages and microsites for key events and initiatives, as well as coordinating event promotions to drive attendance for webinars, trainings, and signature events throughout the year. On the communications front, the coordinator will lead the development and execution of strategies that strengthen MNN's presence with key constituencies. This involves cultivating and managing press relationships to ensure coverage of strategic issues affecting the nonprofit sector, as well as MNN's programs and publications. The coordinator will also drive initiatives to raise awareness of the nonprofit sector and enhance MNN's brand across various stakeholder audiences. Overall, this position is crucial for fostering engagement and support for the nonprofit sector in Massachusetts.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute MNN's digital marketing strategy, including the production of electronic newsletters each month.
  • Coordinate regular emails to various audiences and grow MNN's subscriber lists.
  • Drive MNN's web presence via website strategies for presentation, access, and navigation.
  • Support the development of web materials by collecting information and coordinating web tools.
  • Create primary landing pages and microsites for key events and initiatives.
  • Coordinate event promotion and help drive attendance for a variety of events including webinars, trainings, meetings, and MNN's signature events throughout the year.
  • Compile content and increase audience engagement on MNN's social media channels.
  • Lead the development and execution of communications strategies that strengthen MNN's presence with key constituencies.
  • Cultivate and manage press relationships to ensure coverage of issues of strategic importance to the nonprofit sector.
  • Drive communications and marketing initiatives to raise awareness of the nonprofit sector and enhance MNN's brand across key stakeholder audiences.

Requirements

  • Experience with some or all of digital marketing, website development, and Salesforce (or a similar membership database).
  • Graphic design skills.
