About the position

The Marketing and Communications Director at All Kind Animal Initiative is a pivotal role focused on advancing the organization's mission of improving animal welfare in the community. This position involves developing and executing comprehensive marketing and communication strategies to raise awareness, engage the community, and drive support for animal welfare initiatives. The ideal candidate will be a creative, strategic thinker with strong leadership and communication skills, responsible for overseeing brand management, digital marketing, community outreach, and fundraising support.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive marketing and communication strategies.
• Maintain and strengthen All Kind's brand identity.
• Oversee the development and production of marketing materials such as brochures, newsletters, and social media content.
• Represent All Kind at community events to build relationships and raise awareness.
• Drive engagement on social media platforms with compelling content.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to integrate marketing strategies across departments.
• Partner with the development team to create marketing campaigns for fundraising efforts.
• Monitor and report on key performance metrics for marketing activities.
• Provide regular updates to the Executive Director and board on marketing initiatives.
• Supervise the Development Assistant.

Requirements

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Expertise in digital marketing and social media management.
• Proficient in design software (e.g., Canva).
• Creative problem-solver with a proactive approach.
• Ability to work collaboratively with staff and community stakeholders.
• Experience in nonprofit organizations or animal welfare is preferred.
• Leadership experience in a nonprofit or animal welfare organization is required.
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Valid Texas driver's license is required.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with ShelterLuv software is a plus.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
