About the position

The Marketing and Communications Manager at Search Inc. is responsible for leading and enhancing the organization's marketing efforts across various platforms, including social media, print, and digital content. This role involves crafting compelling narratives, managing communication strategies, and driving engagement to support the organization's mission and fundraising initiatives. The position is based in Chicago, IL, and offers a collaborative environment focused on making a meaningful impact.

Responsibilities

  • Drive marketing and communication strategies across social media, print, digital content, email campaigns, and PR.
  • Lead creative marketing plans that deliver measurable results and align with the organization's mission.
  • Build and manage engaging social media content to connect with the community.
  • Oversee newsletters and other communication channels to share program updates and events.
  • Collaborate on events like the annual fundraiser, *Trailblazers*, and other initiatives.
  • Design visually appealing content using Canva and collaborate with videographers to tell inspiring stories.
  • Track, analyze, and optimize marketing performance for continuous improvement.
  • Manage the e-commerce site for Planet Access, a social enterprise that supports the mission.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field.
  • 2-3 years of experience in a professional marketing/communications role.
  • Outstanding writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365, Adobe Creative Suite, and social media tools.
  • Experience with email marketing, website management, and analytics.
  • A positive, team-oriented attitude and the ability to build strong relationships across departments.
