In this role, the Marketing and Communications Manager will proactively identify and develop integrated PR and social media programs that capitalize on unique and newsworthy stories. This includes engaging in media relations by managing professional relationships with local, regional, and international media and influencers. The manager will host media visits, pitch targeted story ideas, organize familiarization trips, and respond promptly to media inquiries, all while supporting social PR efforts. Additionally, the manager will oversee the hotel's digital content strategy and manage all property social media channels, ensuring that the content is relevant, engaging, and aligned with the hotel's positioning and business objectives. The position also involves reputation management, where the manager acts as a strategic communications advisor to hotel management. This includes monitoring public attitudes, flagging potential consequences of decisions, developing key messages, and managing issues and crisis communications. The Marketing and Communications Manager will work closely with the Food & Beverage and Spa teams to develop promotional activities and marketing calendars that stimulate revenue opportunities. Furthermore, the role requires maintaining positive relationships with public relations agencies and assisting with marketing briefs to maximize exposure opportunities. Overall, this position is integral to the hotel's marketing efforts, requiring a strategic approach to community relations, corporate social responsibility initiatives, and internal communications.
