About the position

The Marketing and Communications Specialist will serve as a vital link between the ecommerce team and various stakeholders to ensure that accurate content is maintained within the backend Product Information Management (PIM) and Digital Asset Management (DAM) systems. This role is essential for the successful execution of marketing strategies and will involve close collaboration with the Mac Tools Brand Manager to develop and implement effective social media strategies. The specialist will also work alongside the ecommerce team to enhance online promotions visibility through social media channels. Additionally, the position requires effective communication with Distributors and the Field Sales Team to support business initiatives, along with responsibilities for event planning, communication, and execution. In this role, the Marketing and Communications Specialist will be expected to utilize their expertise in PowerPoint to create high-level presentations for both internal and external communications. They will manage the PIM and DAM systems to ensure that the web catalog is consistently updated and accurate. Collaboration with internal teams will be crucial for developing and executing site merchandising and content strategies. The specialist will also support Mac Tools' social media platforms by implementing digital marketing strategies and may assist in producing event collateral materials, such as sell sheets and information flyers, using Adobe InDesign. Monitoring the promotional calendar and providing timely communications to meet forecasted results will also be part of their responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the key liaison with the ecommerce team to ensure accurate content is housed on backend PIM and DAM systems.
  • Work closely with the Mac Tools Brand Manager to develop and implement social media strategies.
  • Collaborate with the ecommerce team to enhance online promotions visibility via social media.
  • Communicate effectively with Distributors and the Field Sales Team to support business initiatives.
  • Plan and build top-level presentations for internal and external communications using PowerPoint.
  • Manage PIM and DAM systems to ensure the web catalog is up to date.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop and execute site merchandising and content strategies.
  • Support Mac Tools' social media platforms by executing digital marketing strategies.
  • Assist in the production of event collateral materials such as sell sheets and information flyers using Adobe InDesign.
  • Monitor the promotional calendar and provide timely communications to meet forecasted results.

Requirements

  • Computer software experience including Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Above average knowledge in MS Office programs with a focus on building complex PowerPoint presentations.
  • Experience with monitoring and maintaining PIM and DAM databases.
  • Knowledge and experience with back-end social media operation, analytics, and functionality.
  • Excellent communication skills, including writing and proofreading.
  • Strong organizational and collaborative skills.
  • Ability to anticipate project needs, discern work priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • A bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or business is preferred.
