The Marketing and Communications Specialist is responsible for creating, planning, and executing integrated communications strategies to promote the Division of Student Affairs at the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT). This role is pivotal in increasing awareness of the services and resources available to students, ensuring that the university's brand is consistently represented across various media and platforms. The specialist will work closely with cross-functional teams, collaborating with staff, faculty, and students to align marketing efforts with university policies and best practices. Reporting directly to the Student Affairs Director for Marketing and Communications, the specialist will also manage a team of student employees dedicated to supporting divisional marketing initiatives. In this position, the individual will engage in content marketing, develop communication strategies, and provide education and training to enhance the understanding of marketing and communications within the division. The role requires exceptional written communication skills, project management capabilities, and the ability to handle multiple priorities effectively. The specialist will also be responsible for assessing digital marketing efforts and may take on additional duties as assigned.
