About the position

The Marketing and Community Development Coordinator is responsible for managing and marketing the visitor industry in Wrangell. This role involves assisting with the development and implementation of the Travel Wrangell's destination marketing plan and the Tourism Management Plan. The coordinator will engage in creative outreach to various media and stakeholders to promote the community and its tourism initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the development and implementation of the Travel Wrangell's destination marketing plan.
• Coordinate marketing initiatives through outreach to travel writers, influencers, and media teams.
• Manage promotional activities related to the Tourism Management Plan and Best Practices program.
• Build strong relationships with residents, stakeholders, and industry professionals.
• Plan and execute events to promote the community and its tourism offerings.

Requirements

• Proven track record in building relationships with stakeholders and industry professionals.
• Demonstrated experience in event planning.
• Experience in digital media and print design.
