About the position

Emerald is seeking a Marketing + Content Director to develop and execute marketing and content strategies for a diverse portfolio of events and content products, including Overland Expo and Glamping Show Americas. This strategic role focuses on growing audience, attendee, and advertiser databases through a variety of digital marketing tactics and content strategies. The Director will lead a team, oversee marketing technology, and ensure that organizational and financial goals are met across campaigns and events.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a data-driven, results-focused marketing strategy to drive audience and advertiser database growth.
  • Plan and execute programs to develop new audience and drive lead generation.
  • Plan and oversee event marketing needs, including promotional campaigns and materials.
  • Oversee attendee event registration, pricing strategy, budgeting, and reporting.
  • Monitor campaign performance against KPIs and recommend improvements.
  • Develop high-level marketing communication strategies and manage copy and design teams.
  • Collaborate with Sales leaders to develop new product offerings and pricing models.
  • Build, manage, and allocate revenue and expense budgets across projects.
  • Support event operations teams with logistics and execution of on-site marketing needs.
  • Lead the content, branded content, and affiliate marketing strategy for the portfolio.

Requirements

  • Experience leading the development and execution of strategic multi-channel marketing initiatives.
  • A track record of success in leading a team to execute complex goals across multiple products.
  • Strategy leader with demonstrated success in driving audience and lead growth.
  • Highly goal-driven with a strong sense of urgency and balance of leading and doing.
  • Experience using complex marketing tools like Salesforce Marketing Cloud, HubSpot, and Pardot.
  • Experience defining and translating data into actionable insights.
  • Creative mindset with a history of innovative audience engagement strategies.
  • Proactive, independent work style with effective prioritization and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to build relationships and collaborate with multiple functional groups.
  • Strong financial background with experience in scaling revenue and expenses.
