About the position

The Marketing and Development Coordinator will be responsible for creating and implementing a strategic branding, communications, and marketing plan aimed at promoting enrollment, retention, and fundraising for the School of Saint Elizabeth. This part-time role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong communication skills and a passion for development strategies to advance the school's mission.

Responsibilities

  • Create and implement a comprehensive strategic branding, communications, and marketing plan.
  • Conduct market research to identify potential funding opportunities and donor prospects.
  • Coordinate and manage fundraising events from planning to execution.
  • Oversee development activities including annual giving, major gifts, foundation solicitations, special events, and planned giving.
  • Work with key staff to develop and implement a strong fund development program.
  • Build a network of relationships within the parish, local schools, and the community.
  • Collaborate with Admissions to enhance community awareness of the school and its services.
  • Maintain and expand the donor database (E-tapestry/Blackbaud).
  • Manage preparation and mailing of solicitation communications for fundraising.
  • Produce print and digital communication for student families and the parish.
  • Oversee the school website to provide information for current and prospective families.
  • Develop and manage promotional communication about the values of Catholic education.
  • Promote the achievements and activities of the school, students, and alumni to the community.
  • Submit photos, press releases, and articles to local media outlets.
  • Participate in the budget process by providing preliminary numbers for reporting.

Requirements

  • A university degree in a relevant field is preferred.
  • 5 years of fundraising experience is required.
  • Strong understanding of events management principles and practices.
  • Excellent public relations skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
  • Strong budgeting skills with attention to detail in financial reporting.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while being self-motivated.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
