About the position

Join the Clean Energy Revolution as a Marketing and Digital Communications Advisor at Southern California Edison (SCE) and help build a better tomorrow. In this role, you will be part of a team that is redefining how SCE markets its programs and services to both business and residential customer segments. Your primary goal will be to drive more efficient marketing outcomes and enhance the overall service experience for SCE customers. You will lead cross-functional teams that include members from various departments within SCE, as well as external partners, vendors, and stakeholders. Collaborating closely with Product and Program owners, you will manage a budget ranging from approximately $5 million to $20 million and oversee a portfolio of marketing programs, reporting directly to the Senior Manager. This position requires you to operate at both strategic and tactical levels, with a strong emphasis on innovation, technology enablement, compliance, and performance. A significant aspect of this role will involve leveraging digital marketing technology (Martech), showcasing your data literacy, and demonstrating excellent project management skills. A typical day in this position will involve managing marketing programs related to Demand Response, ensuring that objectives are consistently met, maintaining continuity, and delivering efficient performance. You will be responsible for formulating and implementing comprehensive marketing strategies tailored for both Business (B2B) and Residential (B2C) customers. This includes activities such as acquisition, retention, lead generation, automated offer management, integrated campaign management, and multi-channel media, all driven by data-informed strategies. Your technical skills and marketing expertise will be crucial in maximizing the use of SCE's Martech stack to implement, monitor, and optimize automated marketing campaigns. Additionally, you will recommend and implement enhancements to the digital customer experience to ensure that customers adopt the programs and services offered by SCE. You will also develop and track performance metrics to measure the success of marketing and digital plans, clearly demonstrating the return on investment. Project management will be a key component of your role, as you will execute and manage projects using both vendors and in-house staff, taking a hands-on approach when necessary. Furthermore, you will navigate a complex regulatory environment, collaborating with the California Public Utility Commission and other state utilities in California to implement statewide programs and mandates.

Responsibilities

  • Lead marketing programs related to Demand Response, ensuring consistent objective achievement and efficient performance.
  • Formulate and implement comprehensive marketing strategies for Business (B2B) and Residential (B2C) customers.
  • Apply technical skills and marketing expertise to maximize the use of SCE's Martech stack for automated marketing campaigns.
  • Recommend and implement improvements to the digital customer experience to enhance program adoption.
  • Develop and track performance metrics to measure the success of marketing and digital plans.
  • Execute and manage projects using both vendors and in-house staff.

Requirements

  • Seven to ten years of experience in marketing strategic planning, direct response marketing, database marketing, or project coordination in Marketing, Advertising, or Communications.
  • Experience implementing automated offer management using Salesforce Marketing Cloud or equivalent enterprise-grade multi-channel marketing hub.
  • Vendor management experience.
  • Experience with multi-channel marketing strategy and planning driven by sophisticated analytics and data modeling.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
  • Utility or other highly regulated industry experience.
  • Experience with enterprise marketing software such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud, HubSpot, Marketo, or Adobe Experience Cloud.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
