About the position

The Marketing and Digital Media Manager at Dorcas Ministries is responsible for enhancing the organization's mission by increasing brand awareness and promoting its programs and services through various digital and print channels. This role involves collaboration across multiple departments to create impactful content that communicates Dorcas' contributions to the community. The position requires a blend of marketing strategy execution, content creation, and performance analysis to effectively engage the audience and uphold the organization's positive image.

Responsibilities

  • Execute marketing strategies across various digital platforms to increase brand awareness and engagement.
  • Create engaging and informative content for social media channels, ensuring brand consistency throughout messaging.
  • Design and produce marketing collateral consistent with Dorcas' visual identity and brand guidelines.
  • Monitor online presence and public image, addressing any negative feedback to maintain a positive brand image.
  • Complete general website updates weekly and provide overall maintenance using WordPress.
  • Measure and analyze digital performance using tools like Google Analytics and Meta Business Suite.
  • Produce monthly e-newsletters and general mass communication as needed.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support marketing and communication efforts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communication, Journalism or a related field strongly preferred, or a combination of relevant experience and education.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in marketing or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of marketing principles and best practices, including digital marketing and websites.
  • Excellent writing, editing, communication, and graphic design skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in graphic design and video editing tools (Adobe Creative Cloud, Canva, etc.), social media management tools, and Microsoft 365.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with video editing
