About the position

The Marketing and Event Coordinator (M&EC) at FLEETWERX is responsible for developing and implementing marketing and event plans to support the organization's mission of fostering collaboration between government, industry, and academia. This role involves coordinating event logistics, engaging with clients, and managing marketing communications to enhance awareness of FLEETWERX's initiatives and projects.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with developing and implementing marketing and event plans, procedures, and processes necessary to support FLEETWERX.
  • Coordinate event details at on-site and remote locations, including setup and takedown of meeting spaces.
  • Engage with clients to understand event goals and provide continuous support.
  • Conduct event planning including scheduling, registration, check-in, meeting rooms, supplies, transportation, parking, signage, food service, badging, and facility tours.
  • Support policies and procedures regarding FLEETWERX events and suggest improvements as needed.
  • Achieve mastery of systems and technology that support FLEETWERX facility and virtual meeting processes.
  • Assist personnel in designing and implementing virtual pitch and event requirements.
  • Plan and implement marketing and communications activities to support FLEETWERX and individual team projects.
  • Develop and implement communications strategies, messaging, and social media strategies.
  • Create print and digital content to promote FLEETWERX activities and projects.
  • Coordinate various marketing methods including direct mail, print ads, photography, videography, and social media.
  • Work autonomously with organizations and individuals to build awareness of FLEETWERX goals.
  • Support implementation and maintenance of the FLEETWERX brand and marketing strategy.
  • Supervise marketing interns and subcontractors as appropriate.
  • Provide tours and networking opportunities to enhance public relations for FLEETWERX.
  • Record and report marketing and communications metrics in a timely manner.
  • Assist in creating and designing website project vignettes pre- and post-event.
  • Develop relationships across the FWX and DWX enterprise and support information sharing.
  • Coordinate mailings and general inquiries related to FLEETWERX.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field.
  • Exceptional computer skills with high proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Experience with HubSpot, Canva, photography/editing, and/or AV equipment preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Familiarity with social media marketing strategies.
