About the position

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Event Coordinator to join our team at Old Mill Farm. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and executing in-house events, attracting new clients for private events, and managing digital marketing for the farm, which includes overseeing the website and social media presence. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in marketing, sales, and event management, with a passion for delivering exceptional experiences to our clients and attendees. In this role, you will coordinate all event logistics, including entertainment and vendor management, ensuring that every detail is meticulously planned and executed. You will develop creative event concepts and themes, create comprehensive event timelines, budgets, and reports, and collaborate closely with the farm manager and other team members to ensure seamless execution of events. Your responsibilities will also include managing event marketing and promotion through various channels, including social media, email campaigns, and advertising. Additionally, you will oversee our content marketing efforts, which involve content creation and distribution across multiple platforms. Working closely with the management team, you will identify opportunities to maximize ticket sales and bookings, providing exceptional customer service to attendees, vendors, and performers throughout the process. You will also be expected to troubleshoot and resolve any event-related issues as they arise, while staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in event management.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate event logistics, including logistics, entertainment, and vendors.

  • Collaborate with farm manager and other team members to ensure seamless execution of events.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Marketing, Hospitality, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in event coordination or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of event management software, including Wix, Canva, & Social Media Platforms.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience with marketing automation, email marketing, and digital marketing.
  • Familiarity with SEO principles and content marketing strategies.
  • Experience in product management and advertising.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Certification in event management, such as CMP or CEM, is a plus.
