About the position

We are seeking a motivated, bright, proactive individual who is highly detail-oriented and interested in joining the team to support innovative testing services that are transforming care for Inflammatory bowel disease and other autoimmune diseases. The marketing and event specialist will be responsible for increasing customer awareness and communications in collaboration with marketing, sales, and market access teams. This role will cross-functionally support commercial and clinical education, and the individual should have a passion for content marketing, branding, event coordination, and digital analytics. The marketing and event specialist will play a key role in the preparations and scheduling of communications, including managing a promotional calendar; copywriting, creative development, and proofing of patient and healthcare professional (HCP) materials (print, website, landing pages, email, social, video). This position will also involve developing, monitoring, and reporting metrics for marketing campaigns while maintaining consistency and brand standards. A working knowledge of print and digital production is essential, as is the ability to manage and improve the corporate website, including HCP, payer, and patient content. Collaboration is key in this role, as the specialist will work cross-functionally with internal partners (sales, commercial analytics, client services, regulatory, compliance, legal, R&D, market access, etc.) to successfully create and implement programs that support commercial activities. The individual will manage external vendors and the marketing budget to support these activities, as well as lead coordination and company presence at conferences, speaker programs, educational events, and other marketing activities. Responsibilities will include attendee management, website and print material preparations, on-site logistics, vendor coordination, and budget management. The specialist will also support logistics, participate, and present at internal commercial meetings, including the national sales meeting and training programs, while effectively communicating plans and performance to senior management. Additionally, the role will support marketing Promotional Review Committee and Laboratory Review Committee processes, along with other duties as assigned. The ability to travel domestically 5-10% is required.

Responsibilities

  • Increase customer awareness and communications in collaboration with marketing, sales, and market access teams.
  • Coordinate communications between marketing and the commercial organization.
  • Spearhead the company presence at events in support of commercial activities.
  • Manage a promotional calendar; copywriting, creative development, and proofing of patient and HCP materials.
  • Develop, monitor, and report metrics for marketing campaigns.
  • Maintain consistency and brand standards across all materials.
  • Manage and improve corporate website content for HCP, payer, and patient audiences.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal partners to create and implement programs to support commercial activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferably in Biological or Health Sciences, Marketing, or Communications.
  • Experience in clinical laboratory, diagnostic or other clinically-related marketing, sales, and/or other supporting commercial roles preferred.
  • Strong project management, planning and organizational/time management skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).
  • Experience with Pardot, Salesforce, HTML, Adobe InDesign, WordPress, LinkedIn, Twitter, Google Analytics desired.
  • Proven experience in mastering new software applications.
  • Excellent communication skills and proven interpersonal communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Preference for individuals with previous trade show and meeting management experience.
