About the position

The Marketing and Outreach Coordinator VISTA at MakeIT Haverhill is a full-time position focused on community engagement and workforce development. The role aims to support the mission of MakeIT Haverhill by connecting with the local community, particularly the Mt Washington LatinX and Haitian Creole immigrant neighborhoods. The coordinator will be responsible for promoting programs, engaging with clients and volunteers, and enhancing the organization's outreach efforts through various marketing platforms.

Responsibilities

• Support and embrace the MIH mission focused on meeting people wherever they are in their life journey.
• Engage with the community by attending various meetings and events.
• Promote MIH programs via social media, website, and other marketing platforms.
• Provide guidance on bringing joy and fun to the organization's activities.
• Build capacity by recruiting and serving clients and volunteers.

Requirements

• Some college education
• Experience in recruitment
• Strong leadership skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Public speaking ability
• Teamwork and community organization skills
• Writing and editing proficiency
• Outgoing personality
• Proficiency in computers and technology
