About the position

The Marketing and Public Relations Manager is responsible for the planning, development, and implementation of all marketing strategies and public relations activities for the organization. This role focuses on enhancing the organization's image and facilitating effective communication both internally and externally. The manager oversees the creation of marketing materials and collaborates with the Marketing Specialist to support Catholic Charities programs, ensuring consistent messaging and branding across all platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Create, implement, and measure the success of a comprehensive marketing and public relations program.
  • Ensure consistent communication of the organization's desired image and position throughout all constituencies.
  • Oversee editorial direction, design, production, and distribution of all organizational publications.
  • Coordinate the appearance of all print and electronic materials, including letterhead and brochures.
  • Develop and oversee programs and resource materials to assist in marketing and communications efforts.
  • Provide counsel to programs on marketing, communications, and public relations strategies.
  • Conduct relevant market research and monitor trends in the field.
  • Lead projects such as cause-related marketing and special events.
  • Achieve marketing/communications/public relations mission, goals, and financial objectives.
  • Develop short and long-term plans and budgets for marketing and public relations activities.
  • Monitor progress and evaluate performance against established goals and objectives.
  • Work with senior staff and volunteers to maintain a strategic perspective in organizational direction and decision-making.
  • Ensure the organization's philosophy, mission, and vision are practiced throughout the organization.
  • Seek regular input from key constituencies regarding program quality and organizational relevance.
  • Ensure effective project management within the marketing and public relations function.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in marketing and public relations management.
  • Strong understanding of marketing strategies and communications principles.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage budgets and develop financial plans.
  • Experience in project management and team leadership.
  • Knowledge of market research techniques and analysis.
