About the position

The Marketing and Public Relations Specialist at Paragon Behavioral Health Connections is responsible for managing digital communication platforms, media relations, and newsletter creation. This role aims to develop and execute a communications strategy that effectively reaches targeted demographics, drives referrals, enhances brand consistency, and increases awareness of the organization's services. The position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic team environment while contributing to the growth of the organization's impact in the community.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the creation, writing, editing, and distribution of a monthly e-newsletter to engage donors, clients, and community partners.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local and regional media outlets.
  • Write press releases, media pitches, and other relevant materials to generate coverage and increase visibility for the organization's programs and initiatives.
  • Plan, create, and manage content across social media platforms to raise awareness and engage audiences.
  • Update and maintain Paragon's website content for accuracy, freshness, and functionality.
  • Collaborate with Paragon's leadership team to brainstorm, research, and create content that aligns with the organization's mission and goals.
  • Assist with outreach efforts by identifying and engaging with community organizations, influencers, and stakeholders.
  • Track, analyze, and report on the performance of digital campaigns, media relations efforts, and other communications initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
  • Strong writing and editing skills.
  • Basic knowledge of media relations and experience drafting press releases is a plus.
  • Interest or background in mental health, healthcare, or non-profit organizations is highly desirable.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with email marketing tools (e.g., Mailchimp, Constant Contact).
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with SEO optimization.
  • Familiarity with analytics tools for social media and website performance.
