About the position

First Presbyterian Church is seeking a creative and community-minded Marketing and Social Media Manager to enhance its online presence and strengthen connections within the Colorado Springs community. This role involves managing social media platforms, executing paid online advertising, creating visual content, and engaging with the audience to reflect the church's mission of connecting people with God and each other.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a content calendar for all social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube.
  • Engage with the online community by responding to comments, messages, and reviews promptly.
  • Create and manage paid advertising campaigns on platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and Google Ads.
  • Track and analyze campaign performance, making data-driven adjustments to improve ROI.
  • Host online services through chat and other interactions across platforms.
  • Capture and edit photos and videos during services and events to build a library of authentic content.
  • Work closely with church leadership to identify strategies for reaching new families and individuals in the community.
  • Ensure all communications reflect the church's voice and values, building a consistent brand identity.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in communications, advertising, marketing, or related industry.
  • Experience in social media management, marketing, and content creation.
  • Strong graphic design skills, particularly with Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Experience with photography, videography, and light video editing.
  • Knowledge of digital advertising platforms such as Meta Business Ads and Google Ads.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor of Arts in communications, Journalism, Public Relations or related degree from an accredited institution preferred.
  • Experience working across multiple media sources including print, digital, photography, and video.
